Custom web design / Buffalo, NY

Built around the decision
your customer needs to make.

Custom website design and development for small service businesses in Buffalo and Erie County, New York. A clear story, a distinctive presence and an easy next step.

01 / One clear service

Focused Website

$6,000 USD · fixed scope

Up to three unique marketing pages chosen from the client's goals and search intent, not a mandatory Home/Services/Contact template. A proposal identifies exact canonical pages and which topics are consolidated.

One primary service or tightly related service group and one primary market. Separate service, area, case-study, blog or landing pages are quoted additions when distinct intent and evidence justify them. Plain client-approved policy text may be linked; legal drafting excluded.

Content & design

Client provides facts, service details and approved imagery; one discovery interview; write/edit up to 1,200 words of new client-facing copy across included pages, including headlines, core sections and calls to action, plus metadata. The word ceiling is a scope change trigger, not a content target. One client fact-check and consolidated edits. No field research, photo shoot or long-form article.

Distinct art direction through typography, composition, color, imagery treatment and restrained interaction using established patterns. No bespoke 3D or film media or newly designed interactive system; optional still imagery requires client license or source.

Editing

Static custom site; no self-serve CMS. Ask who edits and how often before quoting. If self-editing is required, separately scope a CMS/platform or recommend an appropriate provider before deposit.

Timing & payment

Typically 4-6 weeks after inputs and booking are ready; dated quote controls and quicker delivery is possible when workload permits.

$3,000 scope/booking · $1,800 design acceptance · $1,200 staging acceptance before launch.

02 / A broader story

Signature Website

$9,500 USD · fixed scope

Up to five unique marketing pages chosen from the client's goals and search intent. The quote lists exact canonical pages; no universal page list is imposed.

Up to two primary service lines with distinct pages if search intent warrants, using a reusable design system. Further service, area, case-study, blog or landing pages require separate scope and genuine supporting evidence. Plain client-approved policy text may be linked, without legal drafting.

Content & design

One discovery interview and client-provided facts; write/edit up to 2,000 words of new client-facing copy across included pages, including headlines, key sections and calls to action, plus metadata. The word ceiling is a scope change trigger, not a content target. One client fact-check and consolidated revisions. Original research, long-form articles, photography and legal copy excluded.

One restrained brand-specific hero composition: still image plus optional prerendered motion loop of up to eight seconds, mobile crop/poster fallback, reduced-motion and performance treatment. No new character animation, multi-scene film, 3D configurator or campaign video.

Editing

Static custom site; no self-serve CMS. Ask who edits and how often before quoting. If self-editing is required, separately scope a CMS/platform or recommend an appropriate provider before deposit.

Timing & payment

Typically 6-8 weeks after inputs and booking are ready; dated quote controls and quicker delivery is possible when workload permits.

$4,750 scope/booking · $2,850 design acceptance · $1,900 staging acceptance before launch.

The shared foundation

Clear from the first agreement.

Built to be understood

Agreed keyword-to-canonical-page map, semantic structure, titles/meta, index/canonical/sitemap and redirect checks, structured data only for verified facts, Search Console/analytics setup or connection with access, and launch validation. No ongoing SEO program or ranking guarantee.

A bounded buying path

One form, up to six fields, one receiving destination, one confirmation state; no CRM/API workflow, uploads, payments or sensitive-data intake.

One plain /privacy/ page containing client-approved supplied text is included beyond the marketing-page cap; no legal drafting. Other policies separately agreed.

Up to 10 simple one-to-one redirects from an existing supplied URL inventory. Migration discovery, large migrations and redirect chains require separate scope.

Review, then release

One consolidated visual round and one consolidated staging round. A round is one written list from the named approver within the approved direction and page/features scope. Defect correction does not consume a revision round.

30 calendar days after launch for defects against approved scope; new requests and external-provider changes are separate.

A self-serve CMS, ecommerce, booking, memberships, CRM/API workflows, sensitive-data intake and extensive migration are separate scope. Confirm the editing route before a deposit.

Fit before a deposit

How will you edit?

Technical editor

Your developer works from the paid source and the build/deploy notes. Client-controlled accounts remain accessible.

Self-service CMS

If frequent nontechnical editing is essential, scope a suitable platform, roles, training, recovery and vendor costs separately before booking.

Occasional changes

Request a separate change quote. Eligible minor updates may fit Care with coverage and responsibilities agreed before enrollment.

Can you redesign, migrate or repair an existing site?

The fit review checks existing content, access and redirects. Up to ten supplied simple redirects fit a build. Complex migration, unsupported platforms and rescue work need separate assessment and scope.

Website questions

Find the right fit.

Do you offer website redesign for Buffalo small businesses?

Yes. Start with the customer journey, existing content and editing needs. The proposal names the pages to keep or change, the agreed design direction, supplied redirects and acceptance checks.

Is this WordPress web design or a custom static website?

The standard offer is a custom static website. If you need WordPress development, frequent self-service publishing or an existing platform repaired, we assess that fit separately before quoting; those services are not silently included in the standard build.

Are responsive design and foundational SEO included?

The build includes a responsive layout and the scoped search foundation: semantic structure, page metadata, crawl controls and descriptive links. Ongoing SEO, additional content and integrations have their own scope.

Can we work together outside Buffalo?

Yes. Discovery, reviews and delivery happen online. Erie County is the initial service market, with appropriate remote projects welcome beyond it.

Ownership & exit

The paid website stays yours.

Pay at written milestones

50% booking, 30% written design acceptance, 20% written staging acceptance before launch. Silence is not acceptance.

One named approver, acceptance tests and five-business-day review window unless agreed otherwise. Written acceptance or consolidated defect list. No deemed approval or automatic design/staging milestone invoice when the client misses a deadline; send notice and revise available slot.

Know the external bills

List exact provider, payer, setup, renewal, included usage, overage, license, cancellation and ownership before deposit. No assumed zero hosting or vague all-in claim.

Keep paid work and access

Client owns paid bespoke work and supplied assets; preexisting reusable components and third-party software retain their licenses, with sufficient perpetual license to operate the delivered site. Client controls production accounts from the start. No subscription is required to keep the paid site.

Within five business days provide existing paid source/content/media, license/account map, build/deploy instructions and known unfinished items, on completion or reconciled termination. Routine handoff included; new migration labor separately scoped. Client accounts accessible throughout.

Provide a dated ledger of completed work, approved committed costs and payments. Reconcile under the signed agreement. Client-owned accounts and paid bespoke deliverables/source remain usable; identify unfinished/unpaid material and its status explicitly. Final contract should resolve disputed amounts without taking client accounts hostage.
